ReKindle
Three minutes for someone you've been meaning to text.
ReKindle is a short guided experience for reaching out to someone you’ve been meaning to text. It opens on the noise that usually wins: notifications, headlines, bills and chores. One click clears the room. You name one friend, take turns remembering them with a real story someone shared first, watch your memories gather around their photo, and write them a message in your own words. Then ReKindle hands those words to your phone and gets out of the way.
It began as an in-person guided friendship experience by Jesse Green, Lana Nauphal, Riya Sahni and Aryan Kaul in Columbia’s Digital Storytelling with AI course, presented at Lincoln Center in 2026.
